Claire L. Linenfelser, 83, of Cheyenne died April 28 at Cheyenne Health Care.
He was born April 14, 1926, in Cuba City, Wis., and moved to Cheyenne from Elizabeth, Ill., 1956.
Mr. Linenfelser was a mechanic working for Tyrrell's for 19 years before opening Cheyenne Frame and Axle in 1972.
He served in the Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
Mr. Linenfelser was a member of the American Legion Post No. 6 and Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 1881.
He married Nancy Freeman on Nov. 27, 1948.
Mr. Linenfelser is survived by his children, Michelle Leach of Apache Junction, Ariz., Cynda Hunt of Lakewood, Colo., Holli Hinkle of Cheyenne and Dan Linenfelser of Cheyenne; a sister, Patricia Bergstresser of Cedarburg, Wis.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a niece, Sandra Muchow of Dubuque, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Linenfelser on Dec. 26, 1999, his parents, Ray and Celestine "Dolly" Linenfelser; two brothers, Vernon Linenfelser and Robert Linenfelser; and a sister, Karen Van.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with Father Thomas Cronkleton officiating.
Interment will follow in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Honor Guard.
Casketbearers will be Geoff Leach, Jim Hunt, David Soden, Scott Soden, Robert Dunivent and Coy Pickel.
Honorary casketbearers will be Rick Heimsoth and J.D. Fox.
Friends may contribute to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter or the Ronald McDonald House.
