Supporting Our Veterans

John Barrasso - 5/13/2025

 Dear Veteran,

This month, Senator Lummis and I hosted a Tele-town hall with Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins. Colonel Tim Sheppard, the Executive Director of the Wyoming Veterans Commission, also joined us.

Thousands of Wyoming veterans joined the call and had the chance to share feedback directly with Secretary Collins. We heard from veterans across Wyoming about what works at the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and where it falls short. There were many ideas for improvement, such as better online scheduling and more flexibility for out-of-state appointments. As a veteran himself, Secretary Collins knows the VA is too bureaucratic. He is committed to fixing it. I am proud to partner with him to deliver the care our veterans deserve.

Wyoming has one of the highest per-capita rates of veterans in America. We have immense gratitude for those who served, and their families. It is an honor to represent each and every one of them in the United States Senate. I will always listen to our veterans, work to improve their care, and honor their service and sacrifice.

If you’re a veteran or servicemember having issues with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, I want to help you. Please contact any of my offices with the contact information below, or at https://www.barrasso. senate.gov/contact/.

Best Regards,

John Barrasso, M.D.
United States Senator

Meadowlark Market

Calling for your help.

We will have a table at the Meadowlark Market at the end of October 2025. The market is kind of a craft show and more. As funds received from Poppy donations go into our Relief Fund can only be used to support veteran's, their families, and such. We are hoping to sell crafted items to raise funds for our Post General Fund (insurance and other such expenses). Here goes: We are putting out a call for your talent. So far we have some items promised: Bird Houses, Macrame key fobs, and some Crocheted items.

Ideas:

or whatever...
