Results from Parking Lot Sale
How well did things go?

Our Post volunteered 40 hours of labor on Saturday, October 14, 2023 to help our Veterans' Rock friends clean house and collect over $2000 in cash donations. The people of our community are truly THE best.

The cash donations reduced the inventory by half and many people of the local community received great deals. Additionally, many of the leftover items where donated to Goodwill--thanks Gil.

Well done everyone!

Our good friends at Veterans' Rock need to reduce their stockpile of goods and create some cash flow. Help them to help our brother and sister veterans by participating in this sale, and sharing the information about the event. Download, print, and share this Flyer to help publicize this event.

Veterans’ Rock Thrift Store Closing

Veterans’ Rock Thrift Store will be closing. The last day of thrift store business will be Tuesday, October 31. In the last year, Veterans’ Rock has assisted more and more veterans and active-duty military in need with food, clothing and furniture. The thrift store space is needed so they can have more of what is needed to build a healthy, self-sustaining life. They will continue to seek out other fund-raising opportunities to support the mission of "Assisting veterans and their families through supportive services.” Stop by and find some treasures at their Blow-Out Parking Lot Sale across from Veterans’ Rock at 614 South Greeley Highway, Saturday, October 14 from 10:00am-2:00pm.

2023 VFW Day of Service
BIG plans for this year's VFW Day of Service.

Day of Service

May 6, 2023  10am - 2pm
Across the highway from Veterans Rock
614 South Greeley Highway, Cheyenne, WY
  •      Bicycle Round-up
  •      Bake Sale
  •      Membership Drive
  •      Poppy Drive
The second annual VFW Day of Service is May 6, 2023. This event unites veterans across America around a common goal—showing the nation the impact veterans make in their communities.

VFW Post 11453 is honoring this commitment by holding a bicycle roundup and bake sale on that day at 614 South Greeley Highway. Bicycles and proceeds from the bake sale will go to Veterans’ Rock, a non-profit that provides rock-solid support to veterans in the form of household items, food, help with housing and jobs, and the list goes on. Joining us in our efforts are two Cheyenne clubs: GFWC XJWC and GFWC Meadowlarks.

In addition to the roundup and bake sale, VFW Post 11453 will be distributing poppies and taking donations. As always, poppy donations go to help our veterans. We will also welcome any potential VFW members to come talk to us at our booth. Check eligibility requirements.

Come on by with your donated bike and your sweet tooth!

We’d like to thank Town & Country for allowing us to hold this event in their parking lot.

Please stop by to donate a bicycle, cash, time or just to visit. VFW Post 11453 will also be accepting applications for membership into the Post, but you do not have to be a member to help with this event.
