Deployed Family Members Appreciation Picnic

VFW Frontier Post 11453 and the Orchard Valley Community Association will sponsor a Deployed Family Members Appreciation Picnic for the families of all deployed service members. WE APPRECIATE YOU! We invite you to come and enjoy a free barbeque and fun filled afternoon for the whole family. The event will take place on the 27th of July at David R. Romero South Cheyenne Community Park from 10am to 5pm. 

We are grateful to Mayor Marian Orr and the City of Cheyenne Parks and Recreation Department for donating the use of David Romero Park for this function.  Also many thanks to Ellie Riley, Wyoming National Guard Senior Family Readiness Support Assistant and Chantri Krejci, President of the Cowboy Aviation Family Readiness Group for their efforts in making this event happen.

Air Force Veteran and Post Commander Jim Rish calls for, "All Hands on Deck.”  Branch of service is immaterial; service and sacrifice is what we recognize.  This picnic is just a small way to express our deep thanks for the service and sacrifice that our troops and their families are making right now. We really need everyone’s involvement to make this event a success and to display our gratitude to the family members of our local deployed troops.  In addition to all the help we can get, we could use some more tables and coolers if you have 'em, bring 'em. Thanks.
